Pat Crocker (www.patcrocker.com) and Gary McLaughlin (www.riversonggallerystudio.com) invite you to visit our corner of southern Ontario and enjoy our newly renovated suites, our garden and waterfall, the historic town of Neustadt, and all of the amenities that Grey and Bruce Counties offer.

Pat is a food/garden/travel writer–you might own one of her cookbooks, she’s written over 25! Pat’s original recipes and all of her books focus on herbs and food for health.  Gary is an artist/illustrator, who has provided artwork for Tim Hortons, Coca Cola, Shell Canada…the list is very long.

Originally from Toronto, we moved to a circa 1836 Ontario log cabin in Grey County just before our daughter was born in 1988. From that property, we moved to a quaint country church before finding the 1881 original grocery store in Neustadt that would eventually become the home of Riversong Suites.

We designed and planted the garden at the back of the building with the intention of creating a natural green space where heritage plants, birds, and other critters could thrive.

We love living in the peaceful village of Neustadt and find inspiration from trails, parks, and the rich farmland surrounding us. We enjoy hiking along the Bruce Trail and discovering the beaches, waterfalls, and all of the natural resources Lake Huron and Georgian Bay offer.

Within an hour’s drive are the cities of Owen Sound, Southampton, Collingwood, Guelph, Goderich, and Creemore. In less than two hours you can be in Tobermory at the tip of the Bruce Peninsula, Stratford, Kitchener-Waterloo, Barrie, and London.
